About us
The International Beaver Knowledge Hub (IBKH) is a collaborative platform for sharing reliable knowledge about the Eurasian beaver and its impact on the environment.
Page content
Founded by a network of European organizations, the Interionational Beaver Knowledge Hub aims to support professionals and researchers around European but also across the world in finding practical solutions, sharing experiences, and learning from each other.
Our focus is on:
- Promoting sustainable human–beaver coexistence
- Providing access to tested management measures
- Stimulating international collaboration and knowledge exchange
The International Beaver Knowledge Hub does not aim to centralize all knowledge, but to connect people, projects and expertise across borders. Additionally, it is important to note that we are a knowledge resource, not a professional engineering or legal firm.
While we curate the best available measures and techniques —such as flow devices and exclusion fencing—every landscape is unique. The International Beaver Knowledge Hub does not provide a warranty for the effectiveness of these measures in your specific environment. We encourage all users to treat these guides as a starting point and to supplement them with local expertise and a "safety-first" approach to wildlife management.
